Empregos precários no setor terciário: estudo de trajetórias ocupacionais de trabalhadores em risco de exclusão

This article analyses the employment trajectories of 60 workers in Curitiba, PR region. All the workers interviewed had low scholar levels in regular and vocational education. This people had been engaged principally in the service sector. Their jobs and occupations had been almost precarious, characterized by low-skill requirements, short-time contracts, high job rotation and low wages. Indeed, they have frequently faced periods of unemployment. In the present work market situation, characterized by severe contraction of employments and rise of education requirements, these workers with little formal schooling face high risk of exclusion.Downloads
