Abstract

The article analyzes the interface between innovation and renewable energy, via a technology prospection study that systematically searched strategic research fields and emerging technologies likely to generate socio-economic benefits. The patents registered in the last ten years were analyzed by collection from the Patent Insight Pro software, cataloged in the Space Net world patent database. There was the need for new partnerships between educational institutions and companies to transfer technology to renewable energy for sustainability.
